Limits & supported formats

ZIP or folder: up to 8 supported images, 40 MiB expanded total. Nested archives and unsupported entries are rejected.

Input: up to 8 files · GIF · 20 MiB each, 40 MiB combined.

Images: up to 2,048 px per side and 400 animation frames.

Output: up to 2,048 px per side, 4,194,304 pixels per frame and 400 frames.

Detailed budgets: 40,000,000 decoded pixels, an estimated 192 MiB working allocation and 64 MiB per ZIP. These estimates help reject large jobs; they do not guarantee a browser process memory peak.

Files are processed one at a time with shared settings. A failed file does not stop the others.

GIFBloom

A better fit, frame by frame

Change the width and height of your GIF without turning it into a still image. The aspect ratio is locked by default. Unlock it for an exact fit, or use a percentage to scale both dimensions together. Smooth scaling is the default. Choose Pixel art for crisp nearest-neighbor edges. Small images are not enlarged unless you allow it.

Choosing your settings

Keep aspect ratio locked to avoid stretching. Use Smooth for photos and Pixel art for hard edges. Enlarging adds pixels but cannot restore missing detail; palette encoding can also change colors.

If the result needs another pass

If the size does not increase, enable Allow enlarging small images. For a very large animation, use a smaller percentage and process fewer files at once.

GIF timing note: missing, 0 ms and 10 ms frame delays are read as 100 ms. Other supported delays are retained unless the task changes timing or the frame sequence. Re-encoded animation may therefore differ from a viewer that handles unusually short delays differently.

Good to know

Can I resize by percentage?

Yes. Choose Percentage and enter a scale. The output uses rounded whole-pixel dimensions and keeps the original aspect ratio as closely as possible.

Does resizing affect quality?

Smaller dimensions remove detail, and enlarging cannot add detail. GIFBloom also re-quantizes colors to fit the GIF palette, which may change colors.

Are transparency and timing preserved?

Transparent areas remain transparent. Frame delays and the original loop setting are preserved, with delays below 20 ms normalized to 100 ms.
