Choose when your animation stops

Set a GIF to play once for a reveal, repeat a few times for a demonstration or loop forever. Total plays includes the first playback: 3 means three complete cycles. This tool changes playback instructions without changing the encoded pictures or frame delays.

Choosing your settings

Choose Play once for a single cycle or Specific total plays for a finite repeat count. This operation does not reduce file size or remove repeated frames already present in the source.

If the result needs another pass

If your destination continues looping, it may ignore playback metadata. Export to video for a single clip, or inspect the downloaded GIF in another viewer.

Good to know

What does “total plays” mean?

1 plays the animation once, 2 plays it twice, and 0 loops forever. Some apps ignore GIF looping instructions; check the downloaded file in your destination app.

Will changing the loop change image quality?

No. This tool modifies the loop metadata and leaves encoded image blocks unchanged.
