Limits & supported formats

ZIP or folder: up to 8 supported images, 40 MiB expanded total. Nested archives and unsupported entries are rejected.

Input: up to 8 files · GIF · 20 MiB each, 40 MiB combined.

Images: up to 2,048 px per side and 400 animation frames.

Output: up to 2,048 px per side, 4,194,304 pixels per frame and 400 frames.

Detailed budgets: 40,000,000 decoded pixels, an estimated 192 MiB working allocation and 64 MiB per ZIP. These estimates help reject large jobs; they do not guarantee a browser process memory peak.

Files are processed one at a time with shared settings. A failed file does not stop the others.

A practical budget for previews on a web page

A 1MB target is useful for a short tutorial preview or animated product detail on a page. It is a chosen transfer budget, not a universal platform limit. Browser-local compression changes the palette before optional size or frame reductions.

Choosing your settings

For screenshots, prioritize readable UI text and dimensions. For photographic motion, inspect skin tones and gradients. If you allow fewer frames, check the motion again before downloading.

If the result needs another pass

Try Resize for a smaller displayed area or Trim for just the useful moment. If detail suffers at this budget, choose a larger editable target or Export to video for a video format instead of forcing GIF.

GIF timing note: missing, 0 ms and 10 ms frame delays are read as 100 ms. Other supported delays are retained unless the task changes timing or the frame sequence. Re-encoded animation may therefore differ from a viewer that handles unusually short delays differently.

Good to know

Can I change the preset target?

Yes. The prefilled target is editable; KB means 1,000 bytes and MB means 1,000,000 bytes. KiB and MiB are also available.

Is the target guaranteed?

No. The result reports whether it meets your target. If it does not, use the next steps in the guide; the download is not presented as a success at that size.

Are files uploaded?

No. Processing happens in your browser.
