Input: 1 file · GIF · up to 20 MiB.
Images: up to 2,048 px per side and 400 animation frames.
Output: up to 2,048 px per side, 4,194,304 pixels per frame and 400 frames.
Detailed budgets: 40,000,000 decoded pixels, an estimated 192 MiB working allocation and 64 MiB per ZIP. These estimates help reject large jobs; they do not guarantee a browser process memory peak.

Prepare a sticker for Server Settings → Stickers
Stickers are server expressions, separate from emoji and profile pictures. Discord’s newer official sticker guide specifies exactly 320×320 and a maximum of 512KB: PNG for a static sticker, APNG or GIF for animation. This page starts with transparent padding so the full silhouette remains visible. Still inputs export as PNG; GIF inputs export as GIF, with a conservative 511,000-byte target.
Choosing your settings
PNG holds one still image and can retain transparent edges. APNG is animated PNG; GIF uses a limited palette and on/off transparency. Resizing a GIF does not restore colors or soft alpha already lost in it. Choose crop only when removing the outer area will not cut off the sticker’s gesture or text.
If the result needs another pass
If your Discord client rejects GIF, convert the resized result with GIF to APNG, then check its dimensions and bytes again: conversion can increase size. If the file remains too large, simplify the artwork, shorten the animation or explicitly allow frame reduction. Upload permissions and content rules still apply in Discord.
GIF timing note: missing, 0 ms and 10 ms frame delays are read as 100 ms. Other supported delays are retained unless the task changes timing or the frame sequence. Re-encoded animation may therefore differ from a viewer that handles unusually short delays differently.
Good to know
What size must a Discord sticker be?
The official guide specifies exactly 320×320 and at most 512KB. This preset targets 511,000 bytes to leave a margin.
Should I choose PNG, APNG or GIF?
PNG is static. APNG and GIF carry animation. This adapter exports stills as PNG and GIF input as GIF; use the linked converter when you need APNG.
What if my client will not accept GIF?
Try GIF to APNG and recheck the resulting file size. A correct size alone does not guarantee acceptance.
Why use padding for stickers?
It preserves the entire silhouette on the square canvas. Cropping removes outer pixels on every frame. All processing is local.
