Limits & supported formats
ZIP or folder: up to 8 supported images, 40 MiB expanded total. Nested archives and unsupported entries are rejected.
Input: up to 8 files · GIF · 20 MiB each, 40 MiB combined.
Images: up to 2,048 px per side and 400 animation frames.
Output: up to 2,048 px per side, 4,194,304 pixels per frame and 400 frames.
Detailed budgets: 40,000,000 decoded pixels, an estimated 192 MiB working allocation and 64 MiB per ZIP. These estimates help reject large jobs; they do not guarantee a browser process memory peak.

How to work toward a 10MB GIF
01Add an animated GIF
02Inspect the preset target and optional reductions
03Compress, check the result and download
Keep detail while trimming a larger animation
10MB is a self-selected budget for a larger GIF attachment or a detailed demonstration. It leaves more room for dimensions and smooth movement than the smaller targets, but some inputs still cannot reach it without changes.
Choosing your settings
Check whether the recipient needs a GIF at all. A shorter duration can save more than aggressive color loss; video is often a better choice for long photographic clips. Optional frame and dimension reductions require your consent.
If the result needs another pass
If the best output is still over 10MB, use Trim to remove unused seconds, then Resize to reduce the canvas. You can edit the target or Export to video. Do not equate this chosen budget with Discord’s current attachment limit.
GIF timing note: missing, 0 ms and 10 ms frame delays are read as 100 ms. Other supported delays are retained unless the task changes timing or the frame sequence. Re-encoded animation may therefore differ from a viewer that handles unusually short delays differently.
Good to know
Can I change the preset target?
Yes. The prefilled target is editable; KB means 1,000 bytes and MB means 1,000,000 bytes. KiB and MiB are also available.
Is the target guaranteed?
No. The result reports whether it meets your target. If it does not, use the next steps in the guide; the download is not presented as a success at that size.
Are files uploaded?
No. Processing happens in your browser.
