Limits & supported formats
Input: 1 file · GIF · up to 20 MiB.
Images: up to 2,048 px per side and 400 animation frames.
Output: up to 2,048 px per side, 4,194,304 pixels per frame and 400 frames.
Detailed budgets: 40,000,000 decoded pixels, an estimated 192 MiB working allocation and 64 MiB per ZIP. These estimates help reject large jobs; they do not guarantee a browser process memory peak.
Add a file to get started.
Three steps. One moving picture.
01Load a GIF and inspect its frames
02Delete, duplicate, reorder or change delays
03Save, play the result and download
Edit GIF frames
Each row represents a fully composited source frame. Select a thumbnail to inspect it, drag rows or use move buttons to change their order, duplicate a frame to repeat it, and delete unwanted frames. Every copy has its own identity and delay.
Choosing your settings
Deleting a frame removes its display time; duplicating adds that time. Use 20–655350 ms in 10 ms steps. Keep at least one frame and no more than 400 frames, within the shared pixel and memory budget. Source loop and binary transparency are preserved; colors are re-quantized.
If the result needs another pass
Restore the original sequence if needed. Shrink or trim a large source first. Copies remain separate frames on export. This edits frame order and timing, not painting, retouching or separate text on individual frames.
GIF timing note: missing, 0 ms and 10 ms frame delays are read as 100 ms. Other supported delays are retained unless the task changes timing or the frame sequence. Re-encoded animation may therefore differ from a viewer that handles unusually short delays differently.
Good to know
Can I delete individual GIF frames?
Yes. Delete selected rows while retaining at least one frame. Their display time is removed too.
How do I reorder frames?
Drag a row onto another row, or use its previous and next buttons with a keyboard.
Can I duplicate a frame?
Yes. The copy has its own duration and stays a separate frame in the downloaded GIF.
Can I change only one frame’s duration?
Yes. Set that row’s delay in milliseconds. GIFBloom supports 10 ms steps with a minimum of 20 ms.
Does this paint or retouch a frame?
No. This tool edits the frame sequence and timing. It does not provide per-frame drawing or retouching.
Is editing local?
Yes. Source frames and the exported GIF stay in your browser.
